In our short time finding real estate deals, filtering through hundreds of listings per zip code with specific criteria is daunting. I thought there had to be a better way... and I found one! In this video, I cover how to web scrape with no coding - which means pulling data from Zillow or any webpage and link to google sheets for additional analysis.

In our example, we pull Zillow listings and divide the asking price by rent comps to determine a rent-to-price ratio. This allows us to immediately filter out which listings are a good possibility and which to not waste any additional time on.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to build it yourself, I can build it for you here.

Auto Calculating Rent to Price Ratio from LIVE Zillow Listings
from $15.00

Time kills all deals.

As I started real estate investing, constantly crunching numbers looking up rent prices, and calculating the quick 1% ratio was time-consuming. So I created a better way. This spreadsheet pulls live Single Family Home data from Zillow from the zip code of your choosing and automatically divides it by a 2 or 3 bedroom rent price. You can see how I use it and created it here. I actually teach you how to make it for free.

However, if you’d like to support and save time, please consider purchasing and I’ll email your unique made-to-order spreadsheet within 24-36 hours.

Its color-coded, which can be edited in the conditional formatting section:

  • Green = 1%+ RTP

  • Yellow = 0.75% RTP

Disclaimer: The rent prices are pulled from public sources (like Zillow data) specific to your preferred zip code and should be used as a guide. Please verify and update estimated rents based on your street/neighborhood, home finishes, amenities, and comparables. This is not to be considered the truth, just a method to help expedite your deal validation to help you narrow down which listings to explore further.
